The main reason my mom allowed me to enroll for piano lessons again (I started when I was 1st grade and ended on my 5th grade) is because I had a psychological problem. But even before, I wanted to play on a band with piano as my instrument, and I definitely needed a refresher for my skills.
Although tomorrow is my last session, I’m sure that I’d still be studying more piano pieces by myself. I’m not planning to continue my lessons there anymore because the venue would be far from where I’d live and it’s kind of expensive.
In the span of 12 sessions, I have learned 2 pieces, A Thousand Miles by Vanessa Carlton and River Flows in You by Yiruma (AKA Bella’s Lullaby in YouTube) and I have also brushed up my note-reading skills.
I believe my piano lessons were worth the time (and the money my mom paid) not only because I was able to learn a lot and use my Yamaha piano again, but also because I think I have developed psychologically. :))
